Materials and Standards We Follow
Hydroguard installs commercial-grade humidity control systems designed specifically for crawl spaces and basements. Our equipment meets EPA and ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) standards for residential moisture control. Our humidity control systems include: • Commercial-grade dehumidifiers (50-100+ pint capacity) • Energy Star certified units for efficiency • Auto-defrost for cold-weather operation (down to 33°F) • Built-in hygrometers and automatic humidity control • Continuous drainage with gravity or pump options • MERV-rated air filtration for improved air quality • Smart monitoring with mobile alerts (optional) • Warranty coverage on parts and installation All systems are sized using ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America) Manual CS calculations based on your space's cubic footage, moisture load, air changes per hour, and Atlanta's climate data. We target 50-55% relative humidity to prevent mold (which grows above 60%) while avoiding over-drying (below 40%) that can crack wood.
